Grassroot Empowerment and Development by Youth has organized a workshop on Personal Hygiene Practices at AWC 09, shvanthanagal road, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
As according to World Bank estimates that India is one of the highest ranking countries in the world for the number of children suffering from malnutrition and anemia. The prevalence of underweight children in India is among the highest in the world, and is nearly double that of Sub Saharan Africa with dire consequences for mobility, mortality, productivity and economic growth.
So, the objective to update the knowledge of the Aganwadi Worker and Helper and children’s Registered in AWC on personal hygiene practices related indicators of Anemia and malnutrition, the session was conducted by Ms. Priya Arasu T on 05th March 2019 in AWC Training Room, shvanthanagal road, under this training there are 35 participants’ attended the workshop.
