Q. I am coming from out of India, which Visa should I apply for?
India requires that most foreign nationals get a visa prior to arrival. The process differs depending on your nationality and country of residence. We are not qualified to give advice on the type of visa you should apply for. Please contact your nearest Indian Embassy or Consulate for further information. However, many interns arrive with a tourist visa. It is advised to make sure that you get visa valid for enough time to cover your internship duration. It is very difficult, time-consuming and often impossible to apply and get approval for an extension from India.
Q. Is there any fee for Internship?
No, we do not charge any internship processing fee. However, you will need to pay for your accommodation and travel.
Q. How much money should I have to cover up my accommodation, food and travel?
For one-month internship, Indian interns should be prepared to meet costs of approximately Rs.10,000 – 15,000 and interns from abroad should be prepared for 300 USD to 400 USD. Cost of travelling from your place to GEDY location and going back is not covered in this.
Q. Where will I stay during my internship? Will GEDY arrange my accommodations?
GEDY will arrange for the best possible homestay accommodation, when you are in a city. However, when you will be going to rural areas, you may not get the same comfort there. But we will ensure the best possible. Please note that you will have to pay for the accommodation prior to your arrival.
Q. Should I contact my Internship Coordinator before arrival?
